SoC and RTOS

Single On Chip solutions provide us cost and space effective solutions. SoC systems have a great advantage when compared to conventional systems.

In our R&D department we highly focused on the SOC solutions to provide the best solutions for our customers.

As SoC technology, RTOS (Real Time Operating System) is another cost and time effective solutions provide for us. In RTOS systems, start up time reduces dramatically. That makes the final product efficient in industrial solutions.

Our solutions support for multi-format IPTV video, including DivX, VC-1, and WMV compatibility. The new SoC also adds enhanced security features that meet the standards set by Conditional Access Companies for protection against signal piracy.

Unlike the earlier SoC sets which adds a second 324MHz MIPS32 core for a total of 990 MIPS. The new SoC sets also represents a 20 percent reduction in the number of on-board pins (from 596 to 484) compared to earlier SoCs, resulting in reduced bill-of-materials (BoM) costs.

Middleware Development

Our C++ based solutions provide us the best way for developing middleware solutions. These middleware solutions can optimize the billing and VOD (Video On Demand) functions for our projects.

IPTV Solutions

Other new features include hybrid IPTV and broadcast TV functionality, including support for digital terrestrial, satellite, or cable TV. We also added a deinterlacer for converting interlaced signals into progressive signals "for enhanced display features." In addition, development support for Linux is now available along with our usual support for an unnamed real-time OS (RTOS.

The new SoCs is equipped with MPEG-2 HD audio/video decoders, transport-stream demultiplexers, and display controllers. Other features include an HDMI interface and USB 2.0 host controller, as well as an Ethernet MAC, and audio DAC.

Video Transmission

With the advances in electronic appliances and gigabit networks, we believe that real-time transmission of HD (720P,1080i,1080p) video will be of high demand and will prevail in the next generation Internet, especially in the areas of medicine, product design, and digital entertainment. However, with the current multimedia technologies, we are still facing lots of challenges in HD video real-time transmission. We focus on the difficulties of the deployment of HD video real-time transmission and work out state-of-the-art solution to overcome these difficulties.

As digital TV is available as early as 2007/08, more and more HD products are released in the market. It is projected that HDTV telecasting will soon become a demand in HK, in a way very much like color TV replacing black-and-white TV in the 1970s. The real-time HD transmission technology will become a need within few years.

Under the trend of globalization, collaboration among different regions will be commonplace. Sharing images and videos among partners at different remote sites for such purposes as architecture review, manufacture design, or remote medical diagnosis, is desired. Furthermore, high resolution display will also be a key component in future digital entertainment.

The medical field has high demand on HD video transmission for remote surgery or diagnosis. However, due to the bandwidth and equipment limitation, it can currently be done only in the SD format. Robotic surgical systems are also becoming popular because of its precision and minimum invasion. To operate such a system, the surgeon needs to have a clear and high resolution view. And the video transmission needs to be in real-time because a split second delay during a blood vessel cut can be fatal in any operation. Real-time HD video transmission also plays an important role in future network game industry.

Intelligent Software Applications

Intelligent CCTV is designed to analyze video information and create alerts accordingly to different events that happen in the video image, from falling people and lurking criminals to traffic management and left luggage at an airport.

Intelligent CCTV can give you advanced warning by analyzing the video information from any given camera. The embedded system is able to track moving objects and once set up can alert the CCTV operator of any actions and events that are untoward, for example in an airport the CCTV system can detect when a person leaves a bag unattended, or when used in a street the system can recognize when a car is parked where it should not be.

The system can detect if a person has fallen over making it ideal for corridors of residential care homes for the elderly. Public car parking areas also benefit as an increased means of security for preventing car crime. Intelligent CCTV tracking can realize when a potential car thief is prowling a car park and checking cars for any valuables that are on show.
